European destinations to spend the Christmas holidays
Christmas, in addition to the intimate and family celebrations, are also a time of rest and relaxation that many prefer to use to make that coveted trip to enjoy with your partner in a nearby country, or simply to unwind from the daily routine of work.
If you are one of the latter groups do not want to leave Europe but in Spain, and you have not been done to fit the proposals we’ve already offered (going to the Santa Claus Village, traveling with children or live in Bavaria Christmas tradition in true German style) we give a series of ideas that can help you decide where you prefer to travel.
* Romantic trip on the Adriatic. At this time a trip on the Adriatic can be the most romantic, among other things because it is full of tourists and couples to enjoy a lovely ride as anyone can love. On one side of Venice (Italy), on the other Rovinj (Croatia). During the winter you can take a tour along the coast combining train, bus or rental car. Not any more, but between April and October there are ferries that cross from one city to another in two hours.
* Driving Tour Northern Portugal. Another desirable destination well to celebrate these days off can make a nice walk in five of the most beautiful cities in Portugal. This is a route for driving about 600 miles. The idea is to fly to Porto and there rent a car to get around these towns. The proposal includes: Pinhão, the spa town of Vidago, Braga and Coimbra. The wholesaler provides accommodations in charming Pousadas and hotels along the route.
* Paris and London for Christmas shopping are some of the most popular destinations for those addicted to rebates that large firms provide in these cities at this time of year. A good dose of windows and great walks to buy gifts Magi or Santa Claus for the whole family. It can also help to make visits to the museums of both cities and enjoy the cafes of Paris and London pubs.
If you have not yet found the key in a second article will tell you more European proposals for a short holiday of Christmas.
