When thinking about a trip to India, probably think that what we see are contrasts and so literally. It is a country where abject poverty is lived daily, but where economic growth is palpable. The oldest traditions are to the surface and a world of knowledge and technology emerges with great force. That’s India, wisdom, poverty, growth, pain and hope.

If there is a place where the contrast is felt all the time, is Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. And a particular location allows us to experience those differences is in Mulliken Ghat, a stunning flower market.

It is a place that at least we can say that is very dirty, showing people on the streets suffer the worst of miseries, this market is an impact of color. Tons of people buy flowers to offer to their gods contrast in all that pain.
